Privacy Policy — Utang Free PH

The short version

Utang Free PH does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal or financial data. Everything you enter — your income, debts, payments, and plans — stays on your phone, encrypted by your device's operating system.

We do not have servers. We do not have analytics. We do not track you. We never see your data.

What this app does

Utang Free PH is a debt payoff calculator and tracker for Filipinos. You enter your income and debts, and the app helps you build a payoff strategy using the Avalanche or Snowball method. You can log payments and watch your progress over time.

The entire app runs locally on your phone. No internet connection is required to use it.

What we collect

Nothing.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, financial information, salary, debt details, payment history, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any other personal information.

We do not have user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, no password.

What is stored on your device

When you use the app, the following information is saved to your phone's encrypted secure storage (managed by iOS or Android):

Your income and expense estimates
Your debt list (lender, balance, interest rate, minimum payment)
Your payment history
Your generated payoff plan
Your app preferences (notification settings, security preferences)

This information never leaves your device. It is encrypted at rest using your operating system's keychain (iOS) or keystore (Android). Only you, on your physical device, can access it.

If you uninstall the app, this information is deleted from your phone.

Notifications

If you enable notifications in Settings, the app schedules local reminders on your device for upcoming debt payments. These notifications are generated locally — they do not pass through any server. We never see when or whether you are reminded to pay a debt.

You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings or in your phone's system preferences.

Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)

If you enable biometric lock, the app uses your phone's built-in Face ID or Touch ID to verify your identity before opening. Your biometric data never leaves your device. We do not see, store, or transmit any biometric information. The app simply asks the operating system "is this the device owner?" and receives a yes or no.

This feature is optional and off by default.

Export and sharing

The app lets you export your debt data as a CSV or PDF file. When you tap Export, the file is created on your device and you choose where to send it using your phone's standard share sheet (Mail, Messages, Files app, etc.).

We are not involved in this transfer. The data goes wherever you send it. If you share an export file with someone, that person will have a copy of the data — be careful with who you share it with.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is not directed at children. There are no chat features, no online community, and no way for users to interact with each other or with us through the app.

Third-party services

Utang Free PH does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs of any kind.

Your rights

Because we do not collect your data, we cannot give you a copy of your data, delete your data on our end, correct your data on our end, or respond to data subject requests in the traditional sense — there is no data on our side to act on.

The data on your device belongs to you. You can:

View it: open the app
Edit it: tap any debt, income, or payment to change it
Delete it: delete the debt or payment, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and update the "effective date" at the top. The current version is always available at this URL.
